Rainbow Crosswalks

On Saturday, June 10th at Noon, more than 120+ District residents of the LGBTQIA community will gather to paint eight temporary rainbow and trans flag crosswalks on 17th St NW, Dupont Circle. These crosswalks to be located between the R St. and P St., will be a symbol of acceptance, unity, tolerance, and equality, representing the diversity of the LGBTQI community and its allies.

Dupont Circle and the 17th St corridor has been the epicenter of the LGBT community in Washington DC for decades and supports this tribute to the thousands of people who have and continue to fight for LGBTQI rights in our city and worldwide.

Help make the crosswalks happen by volunteering to serve as a crosswalk painting coordinator, painter, fundraiser, photographer, interpreter, or donor.
